Non-Monogamous Collective - Deconstructing RA

Cape Town’s non-monogamous community has been growing and our new monthly Non-Monogamous Collective is bringing together a great group of folk with lively interactions and opportunities to learn from one another. This event takes place monthly and all folk exploring open relationships, polyamory, relationship anarchy, swinging and other forms of consensual non-monogamy are welcome regardless on where you are on your journey.

WORKSHOP: Deconstructing RA: Creating Structure Beyond Our Default Systems starts at 7.30pm

This workshop will explore relationship anarchy (RA) as both philosophy and lived practice. Together, we’ll unpack core principles such as autonomy, intentional communication, and questioning the social assumptions that shape how we relate to one another.

Rather than treating RA as the absence of structure, this workshop focuses on how intentional relationships can be built consciously instead of inherited automatically. We’ll look at how we engage with internal biases, learned expectations, and the tension that can arise when those personal values meet real-life dynamics.

The discussion will also extend into kink/BDSM and alternative relationship styles; exploring how RA can inform power exchange, negotiated agreements, and alternative relationship structures while maintaining clarity, care, and accountability.

Open to both newcomers and experienced practitioners, this space invites honest reflection, practical integration, and shared learning.
