Come and explore intention, communication and negotiation with your partner. At this beginner friendly rope jam we will discover some of the many ways of interacting with your partner using rope as a medium. No prior experience is required, absolute beginners are also welcome to join this class.

For this jam we will be focusing on tying as partners. Rope can be used to speak and listen, which is a fundamental ingredient in any partnership. It becomes the communication tool to express intention, communicate consent and simply create abundant joy with another human being.

At this jam learn about intention when engaging with the body and mind of a partner. Partnered tying can be so many things, ranging from a playful platonic interaction, creating a space of calm and meditation together, to a highly erotic engagement, to an intense experience allowing each other the release of emotion whilst being witnessed.

When learning Shibari one can get caught up in the technicality of learning to tie a body with ropes (it is a skill after all) and forget the interplay of meeting another body and mind in ropes with the intention of placing the person at the centre, and exploring this special place together, which is at the core of Shibari.

Beginners and practitioners with experience are welcome at this jam where we encourage peer learling.
