To begin, nothing compares - no knowledge or talking or pleasurable ‘tricks of the trade’ to the absolute intimacy of experiencing Taoist Massage with the person that you trust and you love. No more open in body, mind and spirit before one person and before
oneself is it possible to be. Exposed, vulnerable, naked - states of being we run from and spend our lives covering, complicating, and being ashamed of. How bizarre then, that out of experiencing these states in their most extreme forms, comes such
powerful healing and empowering change. Consciousness and awareness of self - as it is unadorned, unaware of the world and how it would seek to find and define us.

I found myself after the last workshop not wanting to shut closed (as I so often do) too soon after such gentle unfolding and opening. As is my normal reaction, when I make myself open and vulnerable, the slightest inkling of hurt or rejection and it’s like a shell shutting tight closed together, angry at myself for leaving myself so exposed and without defense.

A space is created in which the most tender and vulnerable parts of ourselves can be gently, slowly, and safely exposed. In this space there is no place for hurt, disappointment, or our excruciating fear of rejection. On the contrary, it supports only
incredible trust and the security of real love. We complicate our lives and our spaces to such a degree that creating these environments for ourselves becomes
more and more difficult. We do a workshop like yours and you give us this space. It is precious, it is sacred, and within such a space there is no place for fear
